The presentation will address the lack of judicial diversity in Colorado’s courts and discuss methods for increasing diversity on the bench including eliminating barriers to a more diverse bench.

Sumi Lee, Esq., serves as the Head of Judicial Diversity Outreach at the State Court Administrator's Office of the Colorado Judicial Department. In this role, her work focuses on education and outreach efforts regarding the pathway to the bench, with a specific emphasis on strengthening the bench pipeline that reflects the rich diversity of our communities. Before taking this role, she worked as a trust and estate attorney in the private sector. Sumi is a Past President of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado and a graduate of Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training Program (COBALT) and Leadership Denver. She received her B.A. from Georgetown University and a J.D. from New York Law School.
